Ese constructor sin escrúpulos será Pepe Sancho, que dará vida a Rubén Bertomeu, que ha conseguido amasar una gran fortuna con negocios agrícolas. La muerte de su hermano le llevará a crear todo un entramado empresarial y urbanístico, y pasará a convertirse en el hombre más poderoso del pueblo de Misent, una ciudad imaginaria del Mediterráneo español. Junto a Pepe Sancho estarán Alicia Borrachero, que será la hija de Rubén, Juana Acosta, Pau Durá, Alfonso Bassave y Aura Garrido.
